This week my 8th graders will be revising and editing their favorite room papers. Please go to the following web page for assistance and practice with proofreading.
Amy, Actually, I'd like to comment on your technology article - the author's gallery. I think it's a great idea and uses web 2.0 tech for its best possible advantage. I mean it's the sort of thing that couldn't be done without this new technology and, judging by the parent's comments, it's a project that brought about insights and communication that wouldn't have been possible without web 2.0. Finally, it's the type of project that can only be done after learning about the resource and how to use it, which is, of course, pretty much what we're here to learn. Teaching others is, I guess, our new job in the future. Thanks, RobertW
Amy, I am a fledgling blogger. Yours is really the first I will have participated in. I am excited for your students that you have chosen to make so much information available to them in a blog! I am interested to know if you feel it is stimulating student participation. I am particularly interested to know how more reluctant students react to the things available on your blog. Julie, I was hoping to have several students contribute to this blog. If they do not have gmail accounts, I have asked them to ask their parents for permission. No one has joined yet, but the year is young!!!
