Gadget of the Week

Interwrite SchoolPad is a technology tool used by several teachers at my school. I observed a math teacher walking around the room writing on the Pad while monitoring student behavior.

I love my interwrite pad-- I can't imagine life without it anymore. It is great to have the mobility to move around the room and monitor all the students while giving instruction and demonstrations on the computer. As you know I teach computer classes all day and it has been come part of my right arm!!

Thank you for this wonderful resource! I have just received an interwrite pad this year, but have not found the time to figure it all out. The Educator’s Resource Center link at the bottom had lots of great ideas, too. For someone who is crunched for time, I’ll gladly borrow someone else’s idea! This time, I'm taking Kick Dance Multiplication.

Amy, Bonnie and Tiffany, We have Interwrite pads in my school and I know they're wonderful. Bonnie's comment shows how much help they can be; I don't use them much and I've tried, more than anything else, how to troubleshoot and help other teachers use them. The biggest user I know - our art teacher. The Interwrite pads get around! I think using them takes time and practice, though the result is evidently worth it. Thanks, RobertW
